How To Make Guest Account In Windows 10

But you tin create a Standard User account without an email accost and password. Follow the steps below:

Does Windows x have the option to create a guest user business relationship? I come across in the settings where I can add together an account of someone who has an existing Microsoft account, but I don't want the business relationship to be fastened to a specific account. I but want to be able to have a full general guest account for anyone who wants to temporarily use my computer .
I activated the in-built Guest account Baronial 01, 2015, by following the howto-connect.com instructions (net user guest /agile:yes from an elevated command prompt (right-click Start/Windows push button and select Command Prompt (Admin)). Invitee then appeared in the list of available accounts on the lock screen.
I have, in the by couple of days, activated the Guest account on two more Win 10 PCs. The control line echoed that this had succeeded, and Guest appears, as ane of the alternatives, when I click on my business relationship proper noun at the top of the Showtime Carte du jour, simply when I select it, instead of switching to the Invitee business relationship which is not password protected, it takes me to the lock screen, where Guest is no longer shown.
Microsoft appear to be suppressing the Guest account, for reasons that I/we do non know. We should be told.

I-Panda, I concur. I was able to reactive my Guest Account. But, the screen flickers and continuously refreshes. Unusable. I tried the not-Microsoft (Local User) business relationship option. Profile Service would not load information technology. Don't know what Microsoft's intention is; just, trying to strength me to give others increased access to my computer IS NOT AN OPTION. And since the contempo updates failed to address these issues earlier the deadline, I am reverting dorsum to Win8.

What part doesn't work? This works for me. It'due south not a real guest account like I want just at least it's an account that doesn't crave a countersign.

Hello!
The concensus of opinion in this forum is that information technology is impossible to recreate in Win 10 the Guest account of previous versions of Windows.
The workaround is to create a local user business relationship (y'all may have to Google (or Bing) how to do that), which, past definition, is not a Microsoft Business relationship, and doesn't require an e-mail adddress, or other identity details. Yous may also have to Google/Bing how to remember any docments in your previous version of Windows Guest account, which disappeared when you upgraded to Win x.
Proper noun this new local user account Visitor, and create it as a Standard user, not Administrator, and you will have every bit close as yous are going to get to the old Guest account.

I have no idea why Microsoft doesn't accept a "Enable Guest Account" checkbox on Settings/Accounts/Family unit & other users. After dumping all this time and money into producing Windows 10 to intentionally make this difficult is truly foreign.
For whatever skillful reasons there may be, this is very irritating.

Lamentable, simply try equally I might this does only Not WORK.
one. Go to Settings and click on Accounts.
2. Navigate to Family and Other Users.
3. Click on Add Someone else to this PC.
I follow the instructions down to iii, but when I select I get the following screen!

What I am supposed to practise now. As far equally I am concerned, with family and friends who sometimes need to employ the PC when I am not around, they are unable to!

I did the above quite successfully I thought... until I tried to log on to information technology. I put in the password I had set and got the following:
User Profile Service failed the sign in. User profile cannot exist loaded.
Anything I tin practice?
For Heavens sake all I want to do is create an account where a friend can log on and use their email accounts and my printer etc but not see every thing on my pc. In older versions information technology was possible... how come so much seems to take been made more difficult in this so-called improved technology?

This worked for me on several Win 10 devices:-
Firstly, open an elevated control prompt by going to Get-go carte/All Programs/Windows Organization, right-click Command Prompt, select More, select Run every bit administrator, then;
- Enter "cyberspace user Visitor /add /agile:yep" (ignore quotes) to create a new account. You lot can supercede "Visitor" with whatever name you wish, just exist sure to change it for every command on this listing. "Invitee" is reserved past the Windows system.
- Enter "net user Visitor *" (ignore quotes) to create a password for the business relationship.
- Press Enter key twice to create a blank countersign.
- Enter "internet localgroup users Visitor /delete" (ignore quotes) to remove Visitor from the regular Users group.
- Enter "net localgroup guests Visitor /add" (ignore quotes) to add together Visitor to the guests user group.
You at present yous take a brand new "guest" account! This business relationship will accept the same privileges equally the erstwhile guest accounts, but, I am told, that it does not wipe settings and local files on logout.
